White Ships

Virginia Woolf has long been my favourite author, perhaps because of the way she is able to capture “moments of being” in her writing - those instants in which the “cotton wool” that dominates our conscious lives is suddenly lifted, and we experience a true sense of reality. I decided to adapt one of these moments from The Waves into an interactive narrative experience. This particular passage is about a girl called Rhoda and the power of her imagination to not only transform  the world around her, but create her own.
